Hickory Golf Champion, Co-Founder

Switzerland's most successful professional golfer, Paolo Quirici competed on the European Tour from 1989 to 2001. A two-time U.S. Professional Hickory Champion, 2013 World Open Hickory Champion, 2024 China Hickory Open Champion, and multiple Swiss Hickory Open Champion. He is a passionate restorer and player of original hickory clubs. His vision defines the soul of HGM.

Business units

Hickory Golf Masters comprises four prestigious divisions that celebrate the legacy of traditional golf: an international invitational tournament; a private members' club; a unique historical museum, and a dedicated Show Room & Work Shop for trading and restoring original hickory equipment. The Museum offers a unique worldwide opportunity to choose and test historically original, expertly restored hickory clubs.

Invitational event

A two rounds tournament at Villa d'Este where selected gentlemen golfers compete with pre-1935 hickory clubs, adequate period attires, celebrating the heritage of the game.

Members' Club

A private circle open to both men and women with activities to exclusive events, trading priviledges, and a role in preserving traditional golf.

Museum

A growing collection of Tom Stewart's clubs, acquired from Phil Gibbs, a collector with a passion for these clubs that has assembled nearly all model of Stewart's production in over 30 years. The collection is now in Lugano.

Show Room

A trusted space to buy, sell, and restore antique hickory clubs, professionally restored to playing condition and historically preserved.

The Hickory Masters 2026

The Hickory Masters very first edition, taking place on 13^th–14^th May 2026, will enjoy the scenary of a prestigious and historical golf course that has kept with its design and layout a perfect test for any hickory player. We are privileged to be hosted by Circolo Golf Villa d’Este near Lake Como for its 100th Anniversary and share our passion with their members.
A true opportunity to enjoy the walk in the footsteps of past champions that have participated in Italian Opens and many Italian Internationals in the past.
